EXPERIENCES

Be part of the action and experience conservation where it happens.
Our hands-on conservation experiences offer a rare opportunity to witness and support frontline wildlife protection efforts, including:

  • Wildlife interventions in active conservation areas
  • Rhino dehorning operations critical to poaching prevention
  • Big game collaring for research, tracking, and long-term protection
  • Emergency veterinary response in high-pressure field situations
  • Routine wildlife monitoring supporting ongoing conservation efforts.
  • Educational Wildlife Talks – Inspiring the Next Generation of Conservation Champions

What to expect
A helicopter is used to locate the correct or targeted animal in the thick bush. It is then important that the animal is moved to an area which is suitable and safe for it to be immobilsed. The animal is darted from the helicopter by a wildlife veterinarian. It is important that the animal is moved to a suitable area so that the ground crew can access the animal by vehicle as they have the neccessary equipment to carry out the required procedure. In the case of an elephant, a satellite tracking collar is fitted for data collection, and in the case of a rhino a satellite “horn pod” is placed so that the animal can be tracked and protected.
